National Competition Win for Young Quartet

The Drogheda Brass Band completed a unique double at the Irish Association of Brass and Concert Band's (IABCB) National Solo contest, held in Notre Dame School, Churchtown, Dublin.

Following Michael Plunkett's solo competition win, their under-16 quartets also brought home some success for the band when they finished in the top three places.

The winning quartet was Grace Cooney (cornet), Regina Cassidy (cornet), Martin Rice (tenor horn) and Matthew O'Neill (euphonium).
